His show expanded to over six states and eight stations, further growing its audience through his own app and social media platforms.
In addition to his work in radio, Marcel was inspired to become a Relationship Influencer after experiencing a divorce in 2021 and navigating relationships that taught him valuable lessons about himself and others. His ultimate goal is to see more healthy, Godly relationships prosper. In early 2023, he began sharing relationship insights on Facebook and The Marcel McManus Radio Show, helping many people on their journey to find love again. He is also preparing to release his first relationship book, which will compile insights on personal, family, and business relationships.
Marcel is the author of "God Trusted Me With the Mic," his first book. Immersed in gospel music from an early age, he absorbed knowledge from his family and fellow musicians. While many of his relatives played the guitar or drums, he was drawn to the keyboard, piano, and organ. In November 2008, he released his first single, "We Thank You Lord," a song dedicated to his great-grandmother, Betty Jo Holland, who miraculously survived a major stroke despite doctors’ grim prognosis. Marcel has since recorded two songs, including his latest single, "I’ve Decided to Make Jesus My Choice," produced by Luther Wardlaw of the nationally recognized gospel group, The Wardlaw Brothers. The song showcases his skilled keyboard playing and blends the traditional hymn with a contemporary and soulful touch.
Currently, Marcel manages WUTU 88.3 FM, a community radio station in Albany, GA, owned by The Sherrod Institute. He continues to expand his influence through gospel music, radio, and community engagement. For many years, he has played for churches and remains passionate about broadcasting, playing gospel music, and conducting impactful interviews.
Marcel is also working on launching McManus Magazine, a platform that will highlight influential people and community stories. Beyond media and music, he is deeply invested in empowering others, particularly fathers navigating child support and employment challenges, through his initiative under MLM Ministries Inc. He is continuously seeking ways to grow his music ministry and business while creating meaningful content that uplifts and inspires his audience.
